Understanding the Web Site Structure |
|
The tjicco.org web site uses the Joomla, open-source content management system (CMS), which is stored and managed in a MySql data base on the host providers web server.
All content for the web site is organized under sections and categories.
Your primary sections are presented in separate menus, which appear in the CMS as Main Menu and Top Menu.
- The Main Menu (on the left) includes
- The Top Menu across the top includes
- What We Do
- Who We Are
- How You Can Help
- Photo Gallery
Each section has at least one category and these categories appear as sub menus in the top menu:
- What We Do
- Rehabilitation Unit
- Help with Treatment & Surgeries
- Baby Ayis
- Education
- Adult Facility
- Medical Ayis
- Who We Are
- How You Can Help
- Photo Gallery
Two additional menus are used in the News Section:
- User Menu is a standard joomla CMS menu available only when people are logged in to the system:
- Your Details
- Submit an Article
- Submit a Web Link
- Logout
- News Photos is a list of albums generated by a separate application called Gallery and stored in a separate area of the data base. This menu is necessary to generate links to the gallery to put in the news articles. From the news page, you have two ways to get to the photos - either through the menu on the left or from a link in the news article.
